Joan Hanley/Hari Kirin speaks with a new friend surrounded by 186 of her paintings of the Irish sky installed in Dublin. |
Human life is mythic. Extraordinary things happen to us all: birth, death, sex, family, friendship. Images help. Images can go beyond what we know. I aspire to participate in art that, in the traditional language of religion, gives us eyes to see the unseen. It is time to sense the interconnectedness of our world. Whatever happens to any one of us — human, animal, plant — happens to all of us. As you will see looking in this gallery, some of the work is large, public, social, & political and some is intimate and personal. All are prayers to the Divine who is everywhere. |
