This part of the gallery contains some examples of my work in New Genre Public Art. This is a term used for art that appears in a public space and is socially engaged and interactive. These works all eventually appeared in a gallery or museum, but they originated in a public setting. As a yogini, I connect the practice of postures and meditations to how I live and move in the world. I want to bring art practice out of the studio to places where visual art can contribute freedom, beauty, revelation, or conviviality. These works are collaborations with places, communities and in some cases other artists. The mediums vary as the work is driven by the issues as they arise in life. I hope you enjoy the work.
